Our range of Francis, Turgo & Pelton Turbines cover medium to high head projects capable of generating up to 20MW per unit. Having manufactured over 6800 turbines, Gilkes offers complete water to wire solutions for small hydroelectric developments, as well as full plant modernization & optimization services.
Gilkes began operations in North America in 1978, with a facility in Texas supporting the pumps and hydro markets. Since then, Gilkes have supplied over 160 turbines to the hydro market in North America, with 250MW of installed power. Gilkes Inc also operate a major remanufacturing programme for the power & engine markets from the facility in Kemah, Texas.
