Thomas St. John is a Project Manager, Hydro Regulatory & Legislative Policy, at Southern Company.
Thomas joined Southern Company in 2002, and currently manages the formulation and execution of state and federal legislative and regulatory policy initiatives and advocacy efforts for Southern Company’s hydro generation fleet. He has experience in land and public recreation management, FERC licensing, license and environmental compliance, and risk management.
Prior to joining Southern Company, he practiced law at Balch & Bingham LLP, representing energy companies and financial institutions in the areas of corporate, contract, and bankruptcy law, in contract and commercial litigation, in state and federal courts.
Thomas currently is serving as the NHA Board Treasurer, serves on the board of the Alabama Power Service Organization, and on the Board of Directors of Kid One Transport.
