Monica Derbes Gibson has focused her practice on environmental, energy, and administrative law. Her executive branch experience includes developing EPA actions, in the EPA Office of General Counsel, and defending them in the U.S. Department of Justice. Much of her career has focused on the energy sector. In addition to her government service, she has practiced in law firms in Washington, D.C., and in New Orleans, Louisiana. She earned her law degree from the University of Virginia.
Monica leads the Regulatory Affairs Committee, the Small Hydro Council, and the legal team.
