Natel Energy has developed and produces a new turbine, the hydroEngine, which enables profitable generation of low impact, distributed utility-scale energy from existing low dams, irrigation canals, and other hydropower resources with 5 to 60 feet of head. Projects using the hydroEngine will typically range between 50 kW and 20 MW in size. Natel’s vision is to harness the power of moving water to deliver reliable, renewable energy at low cost while protecting or enhancing watershed ecosystems.
