11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM: One hour tours of Alaska Electric Light & Power’s Gold Creek Hydro Plant. AEL&P will be offering several tours of their Gold Creek Plant: 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. Staff from AEL&P will meet attendees in the parking lot of Centennial Hall, please look for “Tours Starting Here” signage. The address for Centennial Hall is 101 Egan Dr, Juneau, AK 99801, it is a five minute walk to the plant.

3:30 PM:  THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT: Alaska Power Association Welcome Reception (additional fee of $50.00/person if you are not registered for the Alaska Power Association Meeting). Join the Alaska Power Association in touring the waters of Juneau on a three hour boat cruise with Allen Marine. The tour includes bus transport from Centennial Hall to Auke Bay and return. The bus will begin boarding at 3:30 PM and depart promptly at 3:45 from Centennial Hall, with the cruise boarding at 4:15 PM and departing promptly at 4:30 PM from Auke Bay. Please dress warm, wear sturdy shoes/boots and bring a camera.

Government/Speaker – $125

Group Rates – If 3 or more people register together, then you will receive a discount of $30.00 off for all NHA Member registrants and $10.00 off for all non member registrants.

Rates will be extended two days pre and postdates as availability allows. Cancellations must be requested by 3:00 PM, Alaska Time, 72-hours prior to the hotel reservation date of arrival, to avoid a penalty charge of the first night room rate and taxes per room. No-Shows apply to any or all guests who have a reservation, who do not appear on the reservation date of arrival, and who do not provide a proper cancellation notification. No-Shows will be charged a penalty equivalent to the first night room rate and taxes, per room.

Cancellation Policy

You may transfer your registration at any time at no cost.  Cancellations received in writing by August 2nd will be refunded less a $50 administrative fee.  Cancellations after this date cannot be refunded.

As a professional society, the National Hydropower Association is committed to providing an atmosphere that encourages the free expression and exchange of ideas. All participants in NHA activities also agree to comply with all rules and conditions of the activities, which are subject to change. This policy applies to all participants in NHA activities, including but not limited to event attendees, students, guests, staff, contractors, exhibitors, and participants in sessions, tours, and other social events of any NHA meeting or other activity.

All individuals must behave responsibly in NHA activities in which they participate. Threatening physical or verbal actions and disorderly or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated. Harassment, including verbal comments relating to gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, age, national origin, gender identity or expression, veteran status or other protected status, or sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, unauthorized or inappropriate photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention, will not be tolerated. All individuals participating in NHA activities must comply with these standards of behavior.

Violations should be reported to the organizer of the activity. In NHA’s sole discretion, unacceptable behavior may result in removal or denial of access to meeting facilities or activities, and other penalties, without refund of any applicable registration fees or costs. In addition, violations may be reported to the individual’s employer. Repeat offenders may be banned from future NHA activities.
